WEEKEND RECAP.

Hey friends! Hope your week is off to a great start! I’m blogging our weekend today. It was a fun one that we weren’t sure we were going to be able to have honestly. A little back story…

Avery got sick Tuesday with strep and by Thursday we were in the doctors office again when they brought up admitting her to the hospital. She didn’t respond to the Amoxicillin this time which was weird, so by Thursday she was on day 3 of a really high fever and not getting any better. They did lab work and an antibiotic shot, then changed her antibiotic to a different one and told us to come back last Friday morning. Our family and friends must have stormed heaven with prayers for quick healing because by the time she woke up Friday morning she was her self again! If you prayed with us last week, we so appreciate it! She’s never been that sick and it was miserable to watch as a parent and especially knowing we had somewhere to be for the weekend. So by Friday afternoon we were packed and heading out of town for Brandons cousins wedding. The bride, Brooke had asked our girls to be a part of her and Matts special day and the girls were pumped for that! A little fun fact, Brooke was our guestbook girl 12 years ago this Sunday;)

We made it just in time to drop our bags at the hotel and head to rehearsal. The church was so pretty but I didn’t get any pictures of it. After rehearsal we headed to a lake for dinner. They had a little playground and the kids played until time to eat.

It was great weather and a pretty sunset too. We headed back to the hotel for showers and a good nights sleep. The next morning, the girls and I left Brandon behind to head to hair and a make-up for them. This was a huge deal for them because they don’t wear make-up and won’t for awhile still. But for the wedding we told them they could have some. Brooke had gifted them with purses, and these sweet robes to wear while getting ready. She made these two girls feel so special!

After they got dressed, I caught this one in the mirror;)

After we picked Brandon back up we went over to church until wedding time.

I’m pretty sure Brandons uncle Paul snapped this of Avery while they were waiting to walk. She was ready!

She made it down the aisle and even made the ring bearer get down the aisle;)

That dress managed to stay white all evening which was shocking to us all. Ha!

We headed to the reception which was so pretty! Again no pictures because apparently I’m awful at taking pictures. Ellie danced with some of the family, while this one…

helped herself to the snack bar. Over and over again. I guess when you haven’t really ate all week and you finally are hungry, you want all the snacks.

We headed back to the hotel, showered and all fell asleep quick!

It was a great weekend celebrating Brooke and Matt!

I’ll be back here Friday with some favorites. Have a great week friends!
