NEW YORK, NEW YORK PART 2.

We woke up on Wednesday super excited for a Central Park and shopping;) day. The plan was to get Bagels at Liberty Bagel (right by Central Park), and walk over. So we did…

We originally researched it and really wanted to do a horse and carriage thru the park, but it was 90 degrees and to hot for the horses so we opted for the bike tour instead. Our tour guide was great at picking out the spots our kids would recognize…Spiderman bridge, Elf snowball fight, Tavern on the Green etc. He also would stop for photo ops and even was our personal photographer most of the tour.

RC sail boating thru Central Park…magical…

We love Home Alone lost in New York so this was fun…

A little after lunch time we walked over to…

And one of them was way more excited than the other;)

The LEGO store was impressive…

Then we went to explore at the Rockefeller center (originally we had tickets to Top of the Rock for this day but it was suppose to storm so we opted to change our tickets to the next one).

Pretty close to the Rockefeller was St. Patrick’s Cathedral. The pictures do not do it justice but it is Beautiful!

By this time, we were tired! The week was catching up to us so we opted for an early night in and Chipotle in bed.

The next morning we got up and went to a quick breakfast…

And back to the Rockefeller for arguably the best rooftop view of NYC…

Ok, so originally I was hesitant to book 2 rooftops, BUT they were totally different experiences. The Empire State Building we went to at sunset (which was crazy crowded and also hard for Avery to see over the railing). Top of the Rock was clear glass and so no obstructed views, great central park views and also a much bigger space to wonder around and get pictures. At the end we said we would have been fine with skipping the Empire State Building. But that’s just our opinion.

After Top of the Rock we got a car and made the long journey to the financial district…

We went by Alexander and Eliza (and Angelicas) graves at Trinity Church…

Then we walked over to One World Trade Center and the 9-11 memorial pools…

Then we headed back to our hotel to get ready to walk to dinner. I mean, dessert;)…

The next morning, we packed up and walked to our favorite coffee place for a quick breakfast before getting checked out and a car to the airport.

We said goodbye to the city and Buddy said goodbye to the Lincoln Tunnel…

And made the long journey home. Kidding kind of, it was a quick direct 2 hour flight and it was a much smoother flight for Avery. Thankfully!

This trip was one more for the memories. So glad we did it. The girls already have their next trip requests in mind, and I hope they always remember these trips because we for sure will.
