Happy Friday!
We are in the home stretch to Christmas break, and we are feeling it;) 4/4 are tired!
The towns 8th annual tree lighting ceremony was last week. I am a board member for Murphysboro Hometown Christmas, and co director of the carriage route/rides part of that event. It’s always so magical and here are a few pictures from that…
Nothing like a freezing golf cart ride in prep for tree lighting. I think when we started setup last Friday morning it was a warm 14 degrees:/
I went to check on the “entourage” right before tree lighting and the carriage company was having a fun photo shoot with Santa…
It’s just so magical…
Avery had a great birthday a few weeks ago…
When your old babysitter (and her whole family) turns into more like family…
Lilli first babysat the girls 7 summers ago and while our days of needing a babysitter are over, they are so close now. She was so sweet to treat them to dinner and Pirate Petes last week and they had the best time. We heard all about it when she brought them home, and well Ellie was the clear winner at laser tag it sounds like:) There is not much better than friends that choose to love your kids.
This week, Ellie had her sophomore Christmas Concert. They sounded amazing as always.
The grands and my aunt came to it, but she left before we could grab a picture.
Last night, Avery had her first choir concert (5th grade choir). I love a Christmas Concert always, so it’s been a festive week.
I’m signing off of the blog until January. But want to say Merry Christmas before I do. So thankful for God sending us his son.
If you are looking for a church service this holiday season, we will be at Christmas Eve Eve here. Avery and I will be at both services because she will be singing with the kids choir. Consider joining us if you don’t have plans.
