We had a birthday girl last week. We love a birthday around here and Averys was a good one…

She had school the day of her Birthday, so we celebrated with Chick Fil A and rock climbing the weekend before. On her Birthday she requested dinner out and we watched the Grinch. Also her request.

Last Friday night our town had their annual tree lighting. It’s always a magical time, and with a Elon Musk satellite spotting right as Santa arrived it was extra magical. The timing was awesome and the tree is a beauty. It’s one of the perks of small town life and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Saturday was this ones Christmas Concert. It was great being able to have a Christmas sing this year.

We left the concert to get ready for the “Your a Good Man Charlie Brown” play. I had mentioned before that Ellie wanted to be in it with “just a small part” so that’s what she did. She was a peanuts gang member and all the kids did so great! We are just proud in general because any part of a play is typically not her style. Stepping out of her comfort zone in middle school has been fun to watch.

And by night 2, we were all a bit sad it was over! We liked it just as much on night 2…
