Happy Friday! This week has been busy! I try to not throw that word around often because I feel like it’s often overused and then also I never want people to think I’m to busy for (fill in the blank really) but there is no avoiding that word this week. Ha! Between kids having their first week of school this week (we were spoiled in the past and have always started mid week, until this year) and then Brandon trying to wrap up his last year of school and my busy season at my job, we are tired.
I’m linking up today with Andrea and Erika to share some favorites.
Up first, keychain bracelets!! I’ve had an older one for a few years now and it’s always been my favorite, and when I was looking for something to laser as Christmas gifts, I came across these cute ones! Brandon and I are selling them (he lasers the monogram on for me) and if your interested you can email me at missbyars@gmail.com or, find us on Facebook as Laser Tag Co. These would be awesome teacher gifts, babysitter gifts or teenage girl gifts as well.
Another favorite….
Hot Air Balloons! So on Saturday evening as one kid was getting out of the shower and the other one getting in, my aunt text me to say there were 2 balloons in the sky. This never happens! It use to when we were kids, but super rare these days to see that here. We went outside and the balloons were actually from Brandons hometown and we see them at balloon fest every year. Small world, but the pilot of one balloon has family here and so they choose Murphysboro to fly that evening. All that to say, when Ellie got out of the shower we went balloon chasing. It got pretty magical when we realized one balloon was coming for a landing at some of our friends backyard! We crashed there party and got a close up of the landing. Brandon may have even got to assist with the basket;) We are such fans, we will be spending our Friday evening with the balloons tonight. The girls said it was the perfect ending to summer break, and I agree.
The excitement of a new school year kicked in first thing Monday morning and these girls were up before us. I was shocked I’m not going to lie;) It was a pretty great first day of 3rd and 8th.
First days are always my favorite, because Brandon and I get a whole day of a date which is rare but now tradition:) Also because when they get home they are excited and we talk about their days over first day of school treats.
That’s it for today, we have more balloons to get to!
