It’s finally Friday!! I’m linking up today with Erika and Andrea to share some favorites.
First up though, I want to say that we remember September 11, 2001. I was in seventh grade and we watched the news all day at school. It was heartbreaking then, and it still is now to think about it 19 years later. May we never forget those lives lost, the heros, the familys’.
First and a big favorite, RECESS!!!! We’ve been asked how full time remote learning is going at our house, and the answer is fine. It’s not great, it’s not terrible. I feel some days they need more work, and they feel they are doing a good amount of work. I feel like we will be full remoters for a long while over here, and we will be fine, but getting our footing with it all has been a bit rough and just draining some days. But recess, is always going well;)
We threw these in the oven this week, and they are going to be a fall favorite for sure! They are just the right amount of pumpkin. I am not a huge pumpkin flavored person, but these were good!
Speaking of seasons, This is how we all felt about Christmas decor at Hobby Lobby! We are Christmas people. Everything about it. So to see the trees and ornaments and all the aisles of Christmas made our hearts happy last weekend:)
This next one is a big deal at our house. Avery is able to AR test on books this year in first grade, and she met goal number 1 last week! She isn’t one to just want to read (we are working on that) so this was an accomplishment. She is proud to be on the “AR wall” at school, and we are hoping this jump starts more of a love for reading.
The girls have been requesting to sleep in braids every so often (for waves the next day) and we were needing smaller hair ties. We haven’t been fans of these in the past, because so many tangles from taking them out, but we grabbed this tool and it works so well! Highly recommend if you are a girl mom who has been braiding hair or even just for ponytails for finer hair. We threw one in my purse and keep the others in the bathroom and my room.
