LIFE LATELY.

Happy New Year! Though we are almost halfway thru January now. Whew…It’s been a minute.

The last time I blogged, we were prepping for Christmas, and then the wheels fell off. We ended up keeping our niece a few days unexpectedly, and then had a few days of festive fun and then we were sick thru Christmas. Then earlier this week, an ice storm hit.

A few weeks ago, we attended Christmas at Central at the Mt. Vernon campus. It was wonderful! Lots of worship and narrating the Christmas story and it ended with a live nativity on stage.

The Sunday after, we went to Christmas Sunday…

This night is when the wheels fell off. BUT, it left us all the time in the world to be home, and savor the moments together and I am grateful for that.

We ended up doing Christmas Eve Hibachi at home which we all loved and will probably make a tradition of. Its so good.

Still searching those skies and feeding reindeer…

We lounged, ate, played cards and opened presents all of Christmas day.

The day after, we loaded up and headed to Branson. The Christmas lights there are wonderful and we wanted to see them. I was a backseat passenger for part of the ride with this girl and the dogs, because Ellie drove us. Yall. How did we get here…

We hit Sight & Sounds theater for their Miracles of Christmas show and also Silver Dollar City. Silver Dollar City was overly crowded and while the lights were so good, we probably won’t be going again until they quit overselling tickets:/

We did get to catch a cave tour though…

We spent New Years Eve shopping. Because girls…

and then went to Joes for dinner. We hadn’t been there since…

2013!

So you know we had to recreate, though she refused to wear the bib;)

We came home on New Years Day, and had a few days to prep before the ice came. We were so fortunate to never loose power or have damage thankfully, but so many were not as fortunate.

We didn’t have a ton of snow, but she made due…

That’s life lately. Have a great weekend!
