Happy Friday!

We had a great spring break last week. Though the weather didn’t get the spring memo;) I guess that’s what happens when you plan anything for that week but the beach huh?!

Brandons parents had rented us and them a big cabin in the Smokies for spring break and it was some of the best views we’ve ever had there. The girls made themselves right at home in the basement/game room and the dogs did too of course;)

We arrived on a Sunday afternoon, and after unloading all the things we grabbed pizza out and then hit up our favorite Christmas store! We love the Incredible Christmas Place and Santa there. No picture, because Avery basically ran from him the whole time.

We drove up the mountain this time which Brandon and Avery had never done! When we got there it was brutally cold but so pretty!

Avery has always been to small to do the big ropes course, but she was pumped to be able to do it this year, and even jumped off the top! She is our thrill seeker for sure…

She also is our lucky one who wins at almost everything! We found a claw machine in the arcade and she kept winning…. PURE JOY!

Brandon made a friend as we were shopping, meet Cheddar Biscuit! We had all walked out of this store, and when Brandon never came back to meet us we went back looking for him and Cheddar Biscuit was on his head! Cheddar did not like the rest of us near as much.

Our last night in town, we went to Pirates Voyage. Ellie and I had went on her chorus trip last spring and thought the rest of the family would like to see it at least once. The food is good (I wouldn’t say great), but the entertainment and stage and setup are seriously so impressive! They offer makeup/props for the kids and so….

We left that night with a mermaid and a pirate. Here’s the thing about middle schoolers, they may be “to cool” somedays but on the other days they are still kids who love a good time. The best.

Big thank you to my in-laws for providing the cabin. We had a great week!

Now, I do have to say a huge Happy Birthday to my favorite. Brandon turns 36 on Sunday and nothing makes me happier than celebrating him.
