SPRING BREAK 2024.

We had a long anticipated spring break last week, and it was just a good break.

We left on Easter afternoon to beat the storms that were coming thru our area on Monday. There was really no traffic on the way to Branson and it was our first time bringing the camper long distance.

Monday we set up camp and went shopping, because girls;)

Avery had decided at home that she wanted to zipline across the lake. The weather was cold, so they bundled up, but she loved it! She’s always been our thrill seeker, though sometimes will back out of a thrill too…

Then we decided to check out the aquarium, and we were all so impressed with it! We’ve been to another aquarium or 2 in different towns, but Bransons was our favorite by far.

We made friends;)

We spent quite a bit of time at the campground. We played cornhole and Brandon beat me every time. But also, we played lots of cards, and well I’m a card shark so he didn’t beat me at those;)

There was a campfire almost every night and morning because it was cold…

We went to the Stampede Horse walk to see the horses. I had no idea you could do this, and several of the horse riders were prepping the horses for that evenings show…

Ya’ll! The joy on Ellies face…

Had me thinking back to her horse and pony obsessed days and 5th birthday party….

Babies! All of us;)

On Thursday we had tickets to see Queen Esther. I bought these tickets back in January so we had imagined since then that it was good, but when we got to it, it was AMAZING! The stage is essentially all around you at Sights & Sounds and so many real animals up and down the aisles. It was better than any of us imagined. The hipe around it is real, and if you have a chance go see it! Our theater loving crew loved it, but even if you aren’t into musicals/theater I still think you would be impressed. It was pretty on point of the real story of Esther and pointed the audience to Jesus the whole time.

We also did the golf cart cave tour on the Big Cedar property. You really aren’t in the cave for long at all and the views on the golf cart path are great, but for the price we would do a normal cave tour and get more cave than cart. If that makes sense.

That’s it. It was a great trip with a good mix of down time and fun. Im forever grateful for these times with my people.
