ALL THINGS BACK TO SCHOOL .

Happy Friday! I’m finally back after getting our kiddos back to school and my website guy fixing the blog. It was a mess and broken. I have the best website guy;) and I’m happy to be back today!

I’m a bit late sharing all things back to school, but I say all the time I consider the blog a scrapbook for our family so I’m still sharing even though it was weeks ago.

At our house, we always do a back to school brinner. It’s just a fun and festive way to get the kids excited and looking forward to the new year. We started this a few years ago when we had one kid dreading school and thought we could build excitement in her. I ask every year if they want to change up the menu and every year they say they want brinner (breakfast for dinner) so we keep it the same, and I kind of prefer it too because then we just heat up leftovers for a quick first day breakfast before school the next day.

We use this dinner time to set goals and pray for the school year.

I “shop our house” to decorate the table and reuse most ideas from past years.

I can’t believe we have a 2nd and 7th grader this year. Time flies and while I loved the baby years, the big kid years are not disappointing either!

When they woke up they were both excited and organized and ready. I wish I could say that about everyday throughout the school year but unfortunately we are already dragging in the mornings just a few weeks in. None of us are morning people and I don’t expect that to change anytime soon.

That’s how we celebrate back to school at our house. Do you guys have any old or new back to school traditions? Let me know in the comments if you do!

Have a great weekend!
